The Role
Based in our North Sydney office, we are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer for a 12-month contract to join us on our mission to help people succeed.
The purpose of the Compliance Officer role is to assist the Compliance team maintain Pepper's compliance framework.
Your responsibilities will include:
Completion of activities to ensure Pepper is compliant with relevant AML legislation in both Australia and New Zealand.
Providing compliance advice and support on compliance related matters.
Assisting with compliance monitoring to ensure that Pepper's policies, practices and programs are consistently applied and embedded throughout the business and are appropriate.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Minimum 3 years' experience within the retail banking/ consumer financial services industry, and/or experience in a role that requires adherence to policy and regulation in respect of regulatory compliance.
Knowledge of AML/CTF laws and rules.
Completion of a compliance industry qualification (e.g.
Certificate IV in Compliance & Risk management) would be desirable.
Understanding of financial services regulatory compliance requirements in Australia.
Possess excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
