About the RoleAs a Business Development Manager, Financial Markets in our Treasury function, you'll play a key role in helping to drive engagement between Business Banking and Treasury and targets to deliver fee income through FX & IR Risk Management Products.
What will your day look like?As a Business Development Manager, Financial Markets, you will:
Act as a liaison between Business Banking and Treasury to drive fee income through Treasury products and engage in joint customer conversations to facilitate conversions.Provide macro-economic insights on market trends, and deliver regular economic updates to customers and Business Banking teams to add value and support informed decision-making.Serve as a subject matter expert, offering market views and risk management solutions, including delivering Interest Rate Risk Management strategies to clients to manage their exposure to interest rate fluctuations.Identify and implement improvements in processes, policies, and risk appetite to increase market penetration and enhance operational efficiency.Assist in the development of Treasury products and streamline workflows for Business Banking colleagues while managing treasury and loan documentation, establishing limits, and supporting loan pricing and system processing.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Marketing coupled with AFMA Dealer Accreditation in Interest Rates, FX.Extensive experience in Banking, Financial Markets, or comparable customer relationship roles, with a strong understanding of financial markets and FX & IR RM instruments.Exceptional communication and customer skills, with the ability to empathize, build rapport, and deliver excellent service to clients.Advanced Excel proficiency, strong mathematical literacy, and a methodical approach with keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Self-motivated, driven to succeed in a competitive market, with excellent time management, organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
