The Inland Rail Program is a 1600km rail infrastructure project stretching from Brisbane to Melbourne incorporating new and existing rail track.
The program includes the upgrading of existing standard gauge track, the enhancement of existing standard gauge track to cater for double stacking and the construction of new standard gauge links comprising of viaducts, tunnels, rail track, crossings and bridges.
About the opportunity SHAPE TIMELINES, DELIVER IMPACT - LEAD PROGRAM SCHEDULING ON A LANDMARK INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT
As this exciting major infrastructure project continues to grow across Australia, we have a rare opportunity for an experienced Program Scheduling Manager to join the PMO team.
Reporting to the PMO Director, this position will be a key member of the program and project and will be responsible for :
Development, integration, update and custodian of the Inland Rail Master Schedule and basis of schedule to support the IR strategic objectives in the context of the Inland Rail Program Management Plan and Framework.Ensure the Inland Rail Master Schedule captures the full life cycle of Inland Rail program objectives and obligations.Technical oversight and recommendations of the program's schedule and planning systems and infrastructure to support requirements.Development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Inland Rail schedule specification, systems and procedures.Production, analysis and presentation of program level schedule reports / collateral to support effective management of the Inland Rail Master Schedule and overall program performance.Leading and coordinating program level Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) as required.About you
To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate :
Previous program level experience.
If program level experience not demonstratable, significant large-scale integrated and linear infrastructure essential.Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or equivalent relevant experience.Extensive program planning experience including 15+ years' experience in planning roles on large-scale and nationally / internationally significant linear infrastructure projects.Strong client-side experience, commercial acumen and ability to manage sub-contractor schedules.Advanced knowledge and experience using Primavera P6 planning tools, cost and resource loaded schedules, Earned Value Management systems and forensic analysis techniques.A strong commitment to a disciplined project controls environment.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to produce reports and presentations.Demonstrated advanced written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently with limited supervision and prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Demonstrated ability to use judgment and discretion in the dissemination of information.A strong analytical mind and problem-solving ability.A strong understanding of civil / structural planning and rail systems.Advanced knowledge and experience of TILOS Time Change and linear project scheduling techniques and / or Primavera Risk Analysis (PRA) and / or Acumen Fuse.Experience in the development of site access plans, detailed logistics plans and mass-haul diagrams.What you'll be joining You will join one of the largest infrastructure programs in Australia.This project will generate thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in local investment, boosting regional economies and communities right along the alignment.Inland Rail is proud to have over 40% female representation and we would like to see these numbers grow.Inland Rail is an Agile working environment in our State-of-the-Art office embracing flexible working conditions.Inland Rail adopted a collaborative approach to the delivery of the project, leading all parties involved to work toward the same goal.
