Our sites are spread across all corners of SEQ – one day you'll be city centre setting up a commercial build, and the next, taking in oceanfront views and breezes on stunning coastal developments.Electrorig's offering is also rapidly expanding to include more construction hire items - from loading docks, forklifts and pallet jacks to generators, water bubblers and portable toilets.
Our vision is to become a one stop shop for all construction hire needs, giving our customers less to worry about onsite.Elevate your future with a business that's going placesAs Operations Manager, you will lead a business and a highly skilled team focused on offering quality equipment, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring safety is the highest priority.
This role will also work in collaboration with our McNab General Manager, Human Resources, HSE Business Partners, and our Finance team to drive profitable growth and build long-term customer relationships.With our workshop based at Yatala, this role suits candidates from Brisbane and the Gold Coast who are willing and able to travel.
Relocation assistance is also available for interstate candidates.About the role:Coordination of site operations, such as installation and dismantle schedules, managing and dispatching breakdown calls, and ensuring machines are routinely serviced.
A strong knowledge of hoists, hoist rigging, and mechanical aptitude will be essential to this roleLiaising with our Head Rigger to manage and monitor labour resourcing for adhoc, current, and future site bookings.
This includes riggers, electricians, and an in-house boilermaker.Build and nurture strong, positive relationships with stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and contractors, fostering collaboration and trust.Monitor and report progress of works and costs while identifying risks, efficiencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement and growth.Leading safety and quality compliance (i.e., hire contracts, purchase orders, employee training/ticket compliance, harness conditions, and vehicle checks).Champion and investigate innovative ideas and technologies, implementing new processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and overall performance.Promote a culture of SWMS consultation and development, driving top-tier safety standards.Foster employee growth through regular feedback, performance evaluations, and guidance on improving and building on strengths.Work in partnership with the wider McNab Safety, HR, and Finance Team with additional support from our General Manager.What we are looking for:Tickets & Licenses:Cert III in Electrotechnology (ideal but not essential)QTP License (ideal but not essential)Unrestricted QBP License (ideal but not essential)Intermediate or Advanced Riggers TicketMR/HR licenseForklift ticketConstruction White CardExperience within the Hoist (and/or Crane) industry essential.A strong knowledge of hoist rigging techniques, regulations, industry standards, and mechanical aptitude will be essential to this roleDemonstrated experience in an Operations role and ability to lead, manage, and upskill a team effectively.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and resilience.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.In return:Permanent salary-based position with security and stability with a stable pipeline of projects.A defined path for career progression within the wider McNab business.A collaborative and supportive team culture focused on personal growth and fostering a psychologically safe workplace.Paid birthday leave.$250 health and fitness subsidy (gym memberships, activewear, fishing rods, etc.).
