Disability Support Worker

The role: Support personnel with high manual handling skills required for ongoing shifts for joining a team providing care for a male who has a spinal cord injury.
Your primary role will be providing one-on-one support within the home or out in the community.
This can include assisting with daily living activities – personal care, meal preparation, providing domestic assistance, community access, and other aspects of daily living.
If you are a person with a kind, patient, and empathetic nature, willing to provide your utmost care and carry a positive can-do attitude, then this role could be a match for you.
Location: Fortitude Valley, 4006 QLD.
About you: Have a minimum of 3 months paid demonstrated experience working with clients with physical disabilities;Experience in hoist use and bowel therapy;Strong time management skills and a quick learner;A 'can do' attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving;Outstanding interpersonal skills;Meal preparation skills;Live no further than 20 - 30 minutes travel from Fortitude Valley (Preferred but not mandatory).Candidates living close to Fortitude Valley with relevant work experience are encouraged to apply.
