Allied Pinnacle is seeking a Head of Sustainability to lead its "A Greener Future" program, based in Macquarie Park, NSW.
This role involves overseeing sustainability projects, collaborating with functional leaders, and managing the Sustainability team.
Key responsibilities include conducting annual reviews of sustainability goals, managing risks, and supporting commercial initiatives.
Candidates should have a degree in Sustainability or related fields, 7-10 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office.Allied Pinnacle is a leading milling, manufacturing and distributor of flour-based food products including bakery products, flour premixes and food ingredients supplied to our retail, foodservice and commercial customers.

An opportunity exists for newly created Head of Sustainability role, primarily based at our Head Office in Macquarie Park, with the possibility of being located at one of our sites in NSW or Victoria, depending on the location of the successful candidate.
The primary purpose of this role is to lead Allied Pinnacle's sustainability program, "A Greener Future".
The role will facilitate the Sustainability Committee, collaborate with functional leaders and manage the Sustainability team, overseeing a range of projects.
You will provide support and guidance to our Customer and Operation teams on projects, risk management, advise on regulatory and reporting matters, while also updating and adjusting the internal Sustainability strategy as required.
Key accountabilities include:• Conduct an annual review of sustainability goals, measures, and targets.
Provide updates on goals, targets, budget, ROI, and reinvestment plans to stakeholders to drive a culture of best practice.• Provide operational sustainability guidance, diligence, consistency and discipline across the business.• Effective management of sustainability risks.• Establish, monitor and report of functional activities to reduce cost and emissions.• Track progress and support the commercialisation of material, product, and packaging changes.• Support the Customer team with Customer enquiries and reporting requirements.• Establish Supplier emissions recording requirements.• Provide assistance and guidance to sustainability enabling them to deliver and lead contemporary approaches and practices.• Represent Allied Pinnacle at relevant sustainability forums.• Monitor, measure and evaluate environment and sustainability performance in order to support continuous improvement.• Ensure compliance with Allied Pinnacle's health, safety, and workplace policies.
The successful applicant will possess:• Tertiary degree in Sustainability, Engineering, or Science.• Minimum of 7-10 years in sustainability roles or food manufacturing.• Strong knowledge of commodities, ingredients, products, processes, and packaging.• Familiarity with emissions frameworks, protocols, and sustainability strategies.• Excellent verbal and communications skills with the ability to engage, collaborate, influence and provide insights at all levels across a diverse stakeholder group.• Knowledge of tender requirements, project planning, development and management skills.• Ability to influence teams and key stakeholders across all levels (internal & external) regarding policies, planning, processes and regulatory requirements with a positive approach.• Proficiency in MS Office packages, confident analytical skills, including reporting utilising MS Excel.
