An opportunity has become available for a Claims Advisory Specialist to join our Claims team in either Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide or Brisbane.
The successful candidate will operate as an independent individual contributor, providing a high level of claims management services and strategic claims advice to large corporate clients and brokers through consulting, advisory, advocacy and negotiation.

We will count on you to: Provide guidance and review (complex) escalated claims to determine coverage and what policies will be impacted by a claim, providing resolution where possible, otherwise referring claim to Claims Advocate.
Review incoming documentation and new claims notifications of a complex nature or for large and/or complex clients, inform all relevant parties of any potential problems or contentious claims, and refer to Claims Advocates as needed.
Maintain regular contact with a portfolio of complex and/or large clients to build trust, internal expertise and ensure departmental accountability.
Liaise with clients for claim-related issues or client service concerns to resolve complex issues with insurers on claims notifications, updates, information requests, queries, acknowledgements, or other issues.
Participate in internal and external audits as appropriate, providing feedback & recommendations for improvements.
Provide guidance in resolving issues with non-paying insurers for outstanding settlements.
What you need to have: 3+ years of Corporate Insurance Claims experience Experience in managing technical and/or complex claims Exposure to Liability and Industrial Special Risks claims would be highly regarded Compliance with Tier 1 (Insurance Broking) requirements Strong interpersonal skills and a strong customer focus Ability to work autonomously and meet set KPI's.
