Senior Environmental Approvals SpecialistAbout the role
This is a full-time role based in West Perth, for a Senior Environmental Approvals Specialist at Kalgoorlie Nickel Pty Ltd.
In this position, you will play a key role in supporting the process to obtain regulatory approvals, with particular emphasis on the federal and state environmental approvals, in collaboration with the Manager – Approvals.
What you'll be doing Providing advice and guidance on environmental approvals, regulations and compliance,Coordinating critical review of environmental baseline studies,Supporting the development, management and delivery of all primary, secondary and tertiary approvals in accordance with Commonwealth, State, and Local Government requirements,Drafting and reviewing environmental permits and licenses,Assisting with the preparation of environmental impact assessments and management plans,Contributing in discussions with local government, state agencies, joint venture partners, and stakeholders,Ensuring the business operates in accordance with all relevant environmental legislation and internal policies.What we're looking for 5 to 10 years post-qualification experience in environmental approvals and compliance, ideally gained within the mining and/or processing industries,Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and best practices within the mining, resources, and energy sector,Experience in managing consultants, including schedules and budgets,Proven track record of providing high-quality, commercially-focused environmental advice to stakeholders,Strong collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.What we offer
