The Role:
Do you have a passion for French language and culture? Are you an experienced French Teacher looking for your next role?
We are seeking a vibrant and passionate French Teacher to join our Languages team in 2025. This position plays a pivotal role in inspiring students to develop a love for the French language and culture while supporting them to achieve their language goals.
This role is a full time, 12-month opportunity commencing in Term 1, 2025.
The Average Day: Plan and deliver engaging French language lessons to students. Foster an immersive learning environment using innovative teaching strategies. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment. Actively contribute to the Carey community through participation in co-curricular activities, school events, and collaborative department projects. The Person: To be successful in this position, you will have:
Exceptional skill speaking and writing in fluent French. Demonstrated experience teaching French; experience teaching Year 11 and 12 French will be highly regarded. Passion for teaching French language and culture, and the ability to inspire students. Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment. Brings creativity, innovation, and adaptability to their teaching approach. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. A valid Victorian Institute Teaching (VIT) registration is a requirement of employment in this position.
