Position: Support Worker
Location: Hawthorn, VIC
Shift: 8-hour day shift
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced female Support Worker to assist a female client living in Hawthorn.
The role involves providing high-quality support with personal care, daily living tasks, and mobility assistance.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with strong manual handling experience and a commitment to fostering independence and dignity in their client's life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and manual handling tasks.
• Support the client in household tasks, meal preparation, and other daily activities.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment.
• Communicate effectively with the client and their family, as needed.
Requirements:
• Female Support Worker (due to client preference).
• Extensive experience in manual handling and mobility support.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• Kind, patient, and reliable with a person-centered approach.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent) and current First Aid/CPR certification are highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport preferred.
