Gymea Community Preschool is a vibrant and welcoming early childhood education and care service committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 3-5 years.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Administration Officer to join our team on a part-time basis.
About the Role:
The Administration Officer plays a vital role in the smooth running of our preschool.
This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Director and educators, ensuring the efficient operation of the front office, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist visitors and families in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer phone calls and emails, responding to inquiries and directing them appropriately.
Manage enrolments and waitlists, processing applications and maintaining accurate records.
Assist with the preparation of newsletters, reports, and other communication materials.
Maintain office supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
Provide administrative support to the Director and educators, including data entry, filing, and photocopying.
Assist with the management of accounts payable and receivable.
Undertake other administrative duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience working in an administrative role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
Current Working with Children Check.
Knowledge of childcare regulations and policies.
Experience with childcare management software.
First Aid Certificate.
