Envirolab Group comprising Envirolab Services, MPL Laboratories and Labtec Auckland provides a broad range of laboratory testing services such as environmental chemistry, microbiology, asbestos, workplace exposure & air monitoring and product formulation and agrichemicals.
We are a NATA-accredited laboratory servicing Environmental Consultants, Mines, Occupational Hygienists, Government Departments, Industry, and the general public by providing great service and quality.
Job Description About the Role We are seeking applications for a Laboratory Technician to join our modern, NATA-accredited laboratory with an immediate start.
This is a casual position that will require full-time availability.
The role involves preparing samples for analysis and requires a versatile individual who can adapt to various tasks and work across multiple teams.
Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory processes.
Responsibilities Sample Preparation & Analysis: Prepare and analyse samples, ensuring tests are conducted within the required holding time.
Quality Control: Follow all quality control protocols to maintain high standards.
Safety: Comply with laboratory safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
Documentation: Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised workspace through regular housekeeping.
Desired Skills and Experience About You The ideal candidate will possess: Exceptional attention to detail Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) Ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork skills A degree in Science with a Chemistry major is preferred Previous experience in a similar role is desirable At Envirolab Group, you'll be part of a supportive team environment led by industry experts.
