The OH&HM will be responsible for providing governance for all occupational health and hygiene activities associated with the systematic assessment and management of occupational health risks.Employed by Webuild, the role on offer is a full-time role based at our Integrated Project Office (IPO) in St Marys or Western Sydney Project Office (WSPO) in Orchard Hills with travel to sites along the alignment required to conduct testing etc.This is an ideal next step opportunity for someone who has a strong background in all-things occupational hygiene, has a postgraduate qualification relevant to Occupational Hygiene or ICertOH (other qualifications in science or a related discipline), is recognised as a current Certified Occupational Hygienist by the AIOH and holds a full membership with the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene (AIOH).
Responsibilities: Conducting health risk assessmentsCreating health management plansSignificant experience and skills in the operation and execution of industry related equipment e.g., fibre, RCS, dust, welding fume, volatile organic compound and hazardous material samplingConducting noise surveys and noise dosimetryProject management skills – planning, preparing and executing hygiene monitoring programs and writing/reviewing hygiene-related reportsExperience in researching occupational hygiene issues and providing pragmatic solutions to our team.Planning, coordination and implementation of Occupational Health and Hygiene initiativesMaintaining a working relationship with the client in regards to Occupational Health and HygieneCriteria: A postgraduate qualification relevant to Occupational Hygiene or ICertOH (other qualifications in science or a related discipline is desirable)Recognised as a current Certified Occupational Hygienist by the AIOH (Mandatory)Experience working on Sydney Metro projects (Desirable)Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment (Desirable)Full membership with the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene (AIOH)High flexibility with working arrangements – regular site travel across the Western Sydney Airport Metro contract is required.A willingness to mentor a team of WHS professionals, site-based teams and frontline supervisorsEnthusiasm and a can-do attitudeEngagement and willing to contribute to a dynamic teamAbility to work autonomouslyStrong client relationship management skillsWhat's next?If you would like to join our team align with the criteria required for the role, we encourage you to submit your CV by clicking 'Apply'.
