Assistant – Project Accountant

Project/Assistant Accountant Location: Woolloomooloo Employment Type: 6-month Contract full time hours Our client is one of the largest essential service providers in Australia and New Zealand.
We are assisting them in securing an assistant/project accountant to join their team for the next 6 to 8 months based out of their Woolloomooloo offices.
Working in a small team of 6 we are seeking someone that is collaborative and works well with others.
Training will be provided for the successful applicant.
This is a hybrid role with flexibility to WFH for 2 days a week once all training has been completed.
Hourly rate negotiable for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts Support the preparation of tax returns and compliance with regulatory requirements (BAS, GST, PAYG) Assist in payroll processing and ensure accurate financial data entry Provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and analysis tasks Maintain and update financial records and documentation Liaise with internal teams and external auditors as required Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or working towards qualification including CPA) Advanced working knowledge of SAP 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance Proficiency in accounting software (MYOB, Xero, or similar) Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Good communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team What We Offer: A supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunities for career growth and professional development Flexible working hours Health and wellness benefits Convenient Sydney CBD location OSOS Alliance are part of the PRM Management group of Companies a specialist recruitment provider with a national reach.
