About the Role
The Controls & Integrations Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining, improving, and implementing the control systems, hardware, software applications, and data integration across the Castlemaine site.
This includes driving digital shop floor initiatives, advancing automation strategies, and ensuring systems are aligned with industry 4.0 concepts.
This role requires a self-starter with expertise in PLCs, MES/SCADA, SQL, and server systems, alongside experience in delivering control integration projects in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
You'll work collaboratively across multiple teams to enhance reliability, reduce downtime, and ensure compliance with the site's automation and digital strategy.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and optimise control systems, PLCs, SCADA/MES platforms, and server applications.
• Drive integration and automation initiatives in alignment with Industry 4.0.
• Ensure safety and compliance during all system changes and installations.
• Collaborate with maintenance, IT, and project teams to drive effective solutions.
• Plan, manage, and execute improvement projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.

About You
You're an experienced Controls & Integration Engineer with:
• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical, Controls Engineering, Computer Science or a related STEM field (mandatory).
• A minimum of three years of experience in control systems and data integration, ideally in FMCG.
• Advanced knowledge of PLCs, MES/SCADA platforms, SQL, and server applications.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across multidisciplinary teams.
• A history of successfully delivering control integration projects, demonstrating your ability to meet challenges head-on.
