The Company Our client is a prestigious and well-established house builder with over 25 years in the construction industry.
They pride themselves on putting sustainability first while delivering high quality new build housing developments across England.
The Project As a highly experienced Site Manager, you will have a key role in the successful completion of a new build 200-unit residential scheme in Leeds.
You will oversee on-site activities, ensuring the project is delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
In addition, you will act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing consistent progress updates and facilitating clear communication throughout the duration of the project.
Requirements For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
SMSTSCSCS CardFirst Aid - Desirable not essentialIt is also essential that you hold the experience below;
Proven history of successfully delivering residential developments of 50-units upwardsExtensive background in the industry with at least 5 years of experience of operating in a Site Manager position or similar for a leading contractor or subcontractorAdditional skills;
Superb negotiation abilitiesCompetent IT / software skillsExtensive health and safety knowledgeEffective communication skills, verbal and writtenAbility to organise and manage project schedulesA solid understanding of relevant regulations and standardsProven ability to lead, support, and direct a team effectivelyIn-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and building processesExceptional focus on detail to ensure adherence to quality standards and specificationsThe Role Job Title: Site ManagerJob Type: Temp to PermProject: New build 200-unit residential schemeLocation: Leeds, West YorkshireReporting to: Project ManagerDuties InductionsToolbox talksLiaise with external stakeholdersConducting on-site safety inductionsCoordinate with the principal contractorLead and participate in regular site meetingsReport and work closely with the Visiting Contracts ManagerComply with health and safety regulations throughout all work operationsMonitor package costs, ensuring they remain within the approved budgetAddress and resolve any issues or conflicts that emerge during the projectIdentify possible threats to the works, implementing effective strategies to address themCoordinate and manage daily site activities, overseeing workers, subcontractors, and suppliersAct as the primary point of contact between the project team, clients, and stakeholders, providing regular progress updatesEnsuring precise documentation of all project elements, including contracts, permits, change orders, and correspondenceEnhance and maintain positive client relationships by resolving concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with project developmentsOversee the allocation and utilisation of resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to ensure optimal efficiency and effectivenessThis is a long-term freelance position with a competitive rate on offer for the successful candidate.
