About the company:Seeing Machines is a world leader in driver monitoring technology, dedicated to reducing transport fatalities through innovative solutions.The Global Commercial Director (GCD) Aftermarket is critical in driving commercial strategy, operational excellence, and financial performance across the division by crafting and executing strategic commercial initiatives aligned with company targets.This role demands an entrepreneurial mindset, coupled with robust financial and marketing management expertise, organizational skills, and exceptional interpersonal abilities.Success in this position is defined by the ability to expand the company's commercial activities and create revenue streams that support sustainable financial growth.About The Role:Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with the division's overall business goals.Lead cross-functional teams to drive commercial initiatives, ensuring a balanced focus on sales, operations, and strategic development.Oversee large-scale operations, ensuring efficiency and driving continuous improvement.Manage the performance and development of the Commercial and Strategy Manager and Global Client Services Manager.Manage and resolve commercial disputes that may arise during project execution, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to find amicable resolutions.Provide robust financial modelling and analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning.Own key data and performance metrics, driving informed decision-making and continuous improvement.Establish and maintain performance management measures across the division.Develop dashboards and performance management tools to ensure transparency and accountability.Demonstrate strong leadership skills, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance across departments.Manage diverse teams effectively, ensuring alignment with divisional and company-wide goals.Drive organizational transformation to adapt to evolving business environments.Manage change initiatives effectively, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.Professional and Personal attributes:Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.Qualifications such as CA, CPA, CFA, or CSA would be highly regarded.Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior commercial or similar role with a proven track record in operational management, financial analysis, and strategy development.Extensive experience in managing large-scale operations and leading cross-functional teams.Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, analysis, and commercial strategy development.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a global perspective.Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and drive performance.Proven ability to manage change and drive organizational transformation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.Proactively takes initiative, operates with minimal supervision, and demonstrates a strong ability to innovate and drive new ventures.Independent and strategic thinker capable of working autonomously, making confident decisions, and developing plans that align with broader business objectives.Ability to see the big picture and develop strategic initiatives that drive long-term success.Results oriented, focused on achieving measurable outcomes and driving performance.Strong analytical mindset with expertise in strategic problem-solving and business strategy development.Strong commercial acumen.
