Machine Operators (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Full-time casual | $50 per hour | Job security | Interesting work | Early finish on Friday
JANUARY 2025 START DATEDue to continued growth and a strong sales pipeline, QMW Industries are searching for experienced CNC Machine Operators to join our Hi-Performance Operations Team, whose primary objective is to ensure the timely delivery of machined parts to our manufacturing facility for Job / Project completion.
About you : Reliable with a strong work ethic and able to meet strict deadlinesCertificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent is preferredMinimum 2-3 years experience operating CNC machinesExperience with CAD / CAM software and CNC programming an advantageExperience in FANUC CNC software an advantageAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsProficient with measuring equipment such as vernier callipers, micrometers etc.Strong attention to detail and committed to producing high-quality workA high level of mechanical aptitude and manual dexterityStrong organisational and time management skillsGood communication skills and a problem-solving mindsetAble to work in a fast-paced environmentPhysical stamina and ability to lift and move materialsHave a valid and current Qld Driver's License with reliable transportAbout the role : Safety : Support a proactive 'Safety-First' culture and adhere to all safety procedures and regulationsMaintain a safe, clean and well-organized work environmentConduct regular safety checks on CNC machinery to ensure compliance with safety regulationsQuality : Drive a 'Right from Me' Quality culture for internal customersMonitor machine operations, adjust as necessary to ensure product qualityPerform quality inspections on finished parts to ensure conformance to technical specificationsParticipate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for supplied part or material issuesDelivery : Manufacture parts to bills of materials (BOMs) / work orders to quantities requiredSet up and adjust machine tools, fixtures, and attachments to achieve accurate machining operationsReport any material shortages that will impact deliveryTroubleshoot any issues related to machine operations in a timely mannerCost : Report any part or material quality concerns in a timely mannerAdvise on most efficient machining methodsParticipate in Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) sessions to optimise processesWork with the Team Leader on waste minimization and reusable packaging initiativesPeople : Promote a Continuous Improvement and feedback loop Way of WorkingFoster a X-Functional and collaborative Way of Working with other employeesRepresent your Department in discussions with other Team Members, Team Leaders and ManagersAbout us : QMW are world leaders in full turn-key custom engineered solutions for the mining, earthmoving, construction, transport and forestry sectors, from product concept, design, test and manufacture to through life support.
