LMS requires the services of a full-time or part-time Electrical Engineer in Prospect, South Australia.
As part of our team, you will collaborate with the Mechanical - Electrical Engineering team where your role will primarily involve designing and commissioning electrical power generation plants.
This includes preparing protection and fault level studies and working with network operators on grid connection requirements.
You will also design key ancillary equipment like switchgear, control panels, distribution boards, and communication systems.
The role involves occasional interstate travel to support site operations and new projects.
Strong communication and leadership skills and a high level of initiative and teamwork are essential to drive success including key project outcomes.

Our commitment to you Health and wellbeing: Options including the opportunity to work from home, flexible start and finish times, a weekly wellbeing hour, and access to our holistic Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Learning and development: In a supportive team environment with professional, safety, and technical training opportunities and growth pathways.Community impact: Participation in various charitable activities and volunteering opportunities using a "Give Back Day".Diversity, equity, and inclusion: Committee and focus groups, ensuring a workplace where every individual feels valued, included, and empowered.Leave entitlements: Including prorated long-service leave, study leave, and employer-paid parental leave.Rewards and recognition: For length of service and cultural and safety excellence.Responsibilities: Provide professional electrical engineering work in the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of renewable energy power projects.Develop, mark-up, and/or modify electrical drawings such as single line diagrams, protection diagrams, control panel schematics, and communication and control systems using SCADA, PLC, and HMI using Modbus protocols.Undertake protection studies, load flow, and fault studies using appropriate power systems analysis software.Compile relevant design documentation including design calculations of earthing and protection systems and cable sizing.Perform relay and fuse coordination studies and develop protection setting and parameter files.Prepare Scopes of Work and tender packs, equipment specifications and selections, data sheets, and instrumentation setting sheets.Design and select primary electrical plant including HV switchgear, transformers, and HV cables, and design and select secondary systems including CTs, VTs, protection devices, and tariff metering.Requirements: A minimum of 5-8 years of electrical engineering experience.Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.Australian Driver's License.Fitness for work to perform the job role safely and competently.Chartered Professional Engineer through Engineers Australia (desirable).Upholds LMS' company values and culture.Employment is conditional upon a pre-employment medical and entitlement to work in Australia.
