The Engineering Officer is part of a multidiscipline team ofengineering resources providing systems engineering support to theManager, Train and Tram Assets in the management of the SouthAustralian Government's train and tram assets, including longterm planning to achieve consistency of asset condition andstandards across all systems.
In addition to the provision of systems engineering support, therole will be required to work collaboratively with servicesproviders and key stakeholders through the provision of technicaladvice and assurance of operational assets and capital programs andwill be responsible for reviewing projects and ensuring complianceto relevant standards, legislation, policies and procedures.
The role requires knowledge and experience in rail systems,performing comprehensive risk and performance assessments to ensuresystem safety and reliability, and exploring new technologies toenhance operational performance and innovation.

Qualifications Degree in Engineering providing eligibility for membership as aProfessional Engineer of the Institution of Engineers Australia isrequired.
Special Conditions A National Police Check(NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department forInfrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every threeyears.
A current Driver's licence.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with someintra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may berequired.
Remuneration PO2 - $88,255 to $97,667 pa + superannuation
