APD is the trusted partner in Australia working with major distribution and transmission network power and telco providers, including those in the mining sector.What You'll DoDesign telecommunications solutions to support mission critical services in the power utility sectorDocument network details in databases, reports and engineering drawingsCarry out site surveys to gather information for the projects you are designingLiaise with Project Managers and engineers from other disciplines to ensure the projects meet the technical requirements while maintaining schedules and budgetsConfigure devices and conduct bench testing/FATWhat We ValueWe're seeking candidates with technical design experience or knowledge in two of the following areas:NetworksIP/MPLS, SDH & PDHIndustrial IP and Ethernet networksSoftware Defined Networking (SDN/SD-WAN)Network Management Systems (NMS)Layer 2, Layer 3 and Firewalls (CCNA/CCNP preferred)Buried fibre optic cabling (direct buried and in pit & pipe)OPGW & ADSSRadioMicrowave radio and UHF/VHF systemsProficient in path profiling and RF simulation software e.g. Pathloss, Atoll, HTZOther telecommunications experienceStructured cabling systems (Cat6)Telephony (analogue and VoIP)Telecoms DC and AC power supply systemsConfiguration and commissioning experienceTelecommunications inventory database modelling e.g. Connect MasterWhat You BringBachelor of Engineering or Advanced DiplomaA minimum of 5 years' relevant experienceA motivated team player who excels both collaboratively and independentlyWillingness to travel (national/international)Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent English communication and interpersonal skillsExperience within Consulting environment is highly desirableExperience in electrical transmission utility, mining, or industrial sectors is a plusWhy Join Us?Be part of a dynamic team where your expertise will drive impactful projects and contribute to our continued success.
