HMP Kirkham is an open prison for males that has a strong focus on rehabilitation, the inmates can focus on gaining qualifications and joining workshops.
Hours Monday - Friday - 0800 - 1900
Weekends & Bank Holidays - 0800 - 1200
37.5 hours per week
Salary This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary from £28,247 up to £32,346 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the jobAs a Registered Nurse Associate, your responsibilities will vary.
You will:
Provide outstanding care to our patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.Contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics as well as assisting patients with activities of daily living and personal care.Deliver non-judgemental care involving anything from health promotion clinics and observations to supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks.Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of.Promote best practice, evidence-based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning.

Qualifications required: Qualified Nurse AssociateCurrently registered with the NMCTraining to level 3 in the safeguarding of vulnerable peopleDemonstrate current/recent preceptorship pathway since joining the NMC registerEvidence of post-registration CPD in areas relating to current practiceAlthough not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
