About the role: Our Electrification & Innovation (E&I) business drives Australia's transition to a cleaner energy future.
By developing sustainable and scalable electrification products, we deliver value to customers while exploring innovative ideas that can transform how Australians live for generations.
In this dynamic role as a Business Analyst, you will be instrumental in identifying customer needs, finding solutions for them through new products to scale our Virtual Power Plant (VPP) and positioning AGL as a market leader in this space.
Collaborating closely with the Product Owner for VPP/Flex and a talented, passionate team of Service Designers and Digital and Technology experts, you will ideate, develop, and deliver innovative VPP products and features that not only meet but exceed customer expectations.
Part of the E&I value stream, this role contributes to incubating and commercializing new products that help Australians decarbonize their lives and mobility.
What you'll be doing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative prototypes and develop cutting-edge product features that drive VPP growth.Conduct user research and product testing, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing, to gain valuable insights into customer needs and influence product design.Support data-driven decision-making and impactful product development through analysis of data and research.Collaborate with Service Designers, Technology teams, and Marketing Specialists to ensure cohesive and impactful product development, testing, and delivery.Document functional and non-functional requirements with appropriate diagrams, models, and descriptions to ensure requirements are concise, understandable, and assessable, simplifying information whenever possible.Model business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements.Work with technology and digital to define project requirements/user stories, acceptance criteria, and processes, to support project scope and timelines.About you: Previous demonstrated experience within a Business Analysis or Product Development role, demonstrating the ability to effectively problem solve.Have a customer-first mindset - passion for identifying and solving customer needs.Entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a fast-paced environment, deals well with ambiguity, and focuses on driving impact.High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Previous demonstrated experience working on consumer electrification products in Australia.Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, such as product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and/or system architecture diagrams.Proven ability to work cross-functionally, building and maintaining trust with internal and external stakeholders.At AGL, we offer a wide range of benefits including: Flexible working options including hybrid work.Discounts on energy, telcos, and solar plans.Participate in Energise - our reward & recognition program.Access 20 weeks of paid parental leave for the primary carer.Access to an additional week of recharge leave per year.Play an active role in our diversity & inclusion initiatives.Novated leasing and Electric Vehicle subscriptions.Access to study assistance, AGL's share purchase plan, and insurance deals.*Benefits may change over time and vary based on role type and location.
