We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our client's senior management team as the Head of Product Strategy and Procurement.
Our client is a fast-growing Australian company in the Healthcare Equipment industry.
This role will involve international and interstate travel.
You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to enhance their product portfolio and drive procurement processes.
You will play a pivotal role in aligning product strategies with organisational goals and objectives while ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement practices.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive product strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
Collaborate with the sales team and customers along with market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and other teams to define product roadmaps and prioritise initiatives.
Drive innovation by identifying new product and supply opportunities and optimising existing product offerings.
Procurement Management:
Oversee the procurement process from vendor selection to contract negotiation and supplier management.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to improve costs, quality, and delivery timelines.
Establish strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms and agreements.
Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery schedules.
Manage end-to-end supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
Collaborate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to streamline supply chain operations.
Implement inventory management strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimising excess and obsolete inventory.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain performance and agility.
Ideal Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in product strategy development, procurement, and supply chain management, preferably in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, market analysis, and competitive intelligence.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Knowledge of health regulatory requirements and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Familiarity with CRM software and project management tools.
Ability to self-manage and work to deadlines.
Act with a sense of urgency to ensure the needs of internal and external customers are met.
Ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
