The Senior Change Manager is accountable for the design and delivery of Change Management solutions to support the successful delivery for the project or projects to which they are assigned.
Description of division and business unit
The Platforms business offers superannuation, retirement and investment products including the flagship North investment platform which continues to deliver on its commitment of strengthening and broadening investment choice for customers. Platforms Transformation team is responsible for delivery of key projects and strategic initiatives to help the Platforms business meet its growth goals.
About the role: The Senior Change Manager is accountable for the design and delivery of Change Management solutions to support the successful delivery for the project or projects to which they are assigned.Identifying the appropriate change management strategy and business context.Leading and managing the change management stream, including the design, development and implementation of change management deliverables (change impact assessment, change approach and plan etc).Managing stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organisation.Working with the Project Manager and Business Owner to engage stakeholders and ensure business readiness.Working collaboratively with other stream leads to identify, understand and facilitate transition activities relevant to the scope and scale of business impacts resulting from the changes being introduced.Think globally about the change and strategically selects the appropriate tools, methodology and models when facilitating change, in line with the organisation's strategy, structure, process and culture.Develop change plans and activities to enable key stakeholders support the project implementation.Identify barriers to the business initiative and develop change strategies/ plans and schedules to effectively overcome these barriers.Develop comprehensive ways of leading the change management effort through all stages of delivery.Manage and assess change impacts for the project, including any potential scope changes, and as input to business change heat maps.Measure and monitor adoption and success criteria and facilitate reviews to obtain feedback to ensure a successful outcome. Job Specific Capabilities required: Facilitating Change - Strategically selects the appropriate tools, methodology and models when facilitating change, in line with both the overt and covert strategy, structure, process and culture of the organisation. Uses change as an opportunity to advance business perspectives.Recognises the need for integration across multiple change programs and projects that will impact common stakeholders.Strategic Thinking - Builds lasting solutions which take account of other current and future changes in the business.Impact Assessment - Uses change impact assessments to analyse how the change project integrates within wider areas of the business and leads discussions about how to mitigate change risks.Thinking & Judgement - Draws out key issues to identify underlying trends when working systematically to resolve problems, identify causes, anticipate implications and make informed decisions. Considers broad implications of decisions within the context of the wider business.Influencing Others - Displays the ability to influence outside own function and to form alliances with other areas, industries, functions and organisations.Communication - Leads and influences the communication of ideas in individual and group situations and adjusts language to the characteristics and needs of the audience to achieve strategic outcomes. Uses a sophisticated understanding of empathy and communication styles to achieve strategic outcomes. About you: Minimum 10 years in a change management role; minimum five years at SCM level.Experience in financial services, ideally within a WRAP platform business.Experience with system and process-related change.Tertiary qualification in business or related discipline.Post graduate change certification desirable.
