Our primary location is in Beresfield, NSW, but the role may occasionally require travel to Sydney, interstate, and overseas to support our clients' systems and equipment.About the roleJFD Cowan, a leader in manufacturing and part of the JFD Group, is seeking a Technical Officer to join our team in Beresfield.
This role involves working closely with the Project Manager and collaborating with teams across production, quality, and accounts.
You'll play a key part in ensuring our projects meet specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.Primary duties include:Producing and reviewing working practices to ensure compliance including preparing detailed instructions for operational and manufacturing purposes.Reviewing job quality requirements to meet specifications, deliveries, and product requirements.Understanding quality business management systems for project compliance to support stakeholders.Ordering parts and equipment required for production activities and updating administrative records.Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceHold a Diploma of Mechanical Engineering or higher (Desirable).Knowledge and understanding of quality and technical standards and specifications.Develop work packages including technician work instructions and quality assurance documentation.Exceptional communication skills with all levels of staff.Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.Producing or updating working practices and ensuring compliance.Strong customer service and support skills.Thrive in a high-energy work environment.Good time management skills, ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.Ability to work autonomously as well as work effectively in a cohesive team.Strong administrative skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel.Approachable and professional with the ability to effectively handle sensitive and confidential information.Why work for JFD Cowan?Join a team of people who are passionate about their job.Opportunity to expand the role and obtain new skills and experience.Contribute to a growing and successful business with an exciting order book.Wellbeing programs – employee assistance program to support you and your immediate family with counselling and support as needed.Flexible working arrangements, including a condensed working week to support a half day every Friday.Free on-site parking.How to applyApplicants must have existing Australian work rights and the ability to gain security access to Australian defence establishments.
