The Animal Technical Officer may also manage small projects under the guidance of the Science, Technology and Adoption Manager.
Whilst based primarily in one location, there is a requirement for local and interstate travel including time on our Farms and breeding facilities.Day to day your role will include:Coordinate and conduct research studies in disciplines including nutrition, reproduction, genetics, health and welfareUndertake experiment based daily husbandry tasks including but not limited to feeding, live weight assessment, sample collection and monitoring of animal health and welfareCarry out animal and computer-based data collection including laboratory work such as sample preparation and scoring, video analysesMaintenance of research equipmentDemonstrate and exercise a commitment to promote, develop and improve the health, safety, environment and welfare of our people and animalsCarry out any other reasonable and lawful directions that may be given from time to time by the company.Who We Are Looking ForSunPork has established an efficient, highly skilled yet diversified team that is dedicated to producing high quality, sustainable welfare-optimal products.
