The OpportunityTP Human Capital and Lower Burdekin Water are seeking a seasoned Finance Manager to oversee the financial health and reporting of the organisation.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will report to the CEO and be responsible for:
Budgeting and forecastingFinancial analysis and reportingRisk management and mitigation strategiesEnsuring compliance with financial regulationsYour expertise will contribute to the long-term sustainability of Lower Burdekin Water.
Role SummaryAs a dynamic and experienced transformational leader, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, supervising a small, dedicated team to drive a performance culture by developing a customer-focused, results-orientated team, who are able and willing to provide quality service in response to their customer needs.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Management: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.Investment and Sustainability: Identify investment opportunities and drive cost recovery.Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop the finance and administration team.Strategic Contribution: Participate in strategic planning and decision-making.What We're Looking For: Qualifications: Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred) with a professional accounting certification (CA, CPA, or equivalent).Experience: 10+ years of senior financial management, skilled in developing and managing financial strategies and budgets.Expertise: Strong background in financial analysis, risk management, regulatory compliance, and team leadership.Skills: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and financial software proficiency (MS Office, modern accounting systems).Attributes: Proactive, solutions-oriented, and capable of translating financial insights into actionable recommendations.Perks and Benefits: 17.5% annual leave loading on 4 weeks annual leaveUp to 5 weeks paid annual leave (by agreement)Up to 2 weeks Personal/Carers LeavePrivate regional use of company vehicleLong Service Leave available pro-rata after ten years'Dollar for dollar' match on further super contributions up to 5% of your salary when you salary sacrificeLearning and development opportunitiesFlexible work options by negotiationApplications: To apply for this position please click "Apply Now" below.
