In addition, RCH Occupational Therapy has Part Time Temporary opportunities.Working at the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) provides a unique and exciting opportunity to work alongside children and their families during pivotal life phases.
You will be responsible for providing occupational therapy assessment and intervention services to inpatient and/or outpatient infants, children, and adolescents, to support child development and maximize participation in daily activities and quality of life.
You will have opportunities to broaden your knowledge, skills, and experience across a variety of pediatric areas in an acute tertiary hospital setting.Classification for this position will range from VF6-VF9 Grade 2 Year 1 to Grade 2 Year 4 (FTE base salary $86,730 to $99,699 per annum, plus superannuation).What you'll achieve:In collaboration with patients and their families and the multidisciplinary team, provide assessment of function and developmental needs and interventions that facilitate care plans and appropriate discharge.Evidence-based and outcome-focused intervention that makes an impact on meaningful outcomes for infants, children, and young adults during their individual healthcare journey.Your skills and experience:Be an established pediatric OT looking to expand your clinical knowledge and skills within a multidisciplinary team environment.Experience working within acute care or a hospital environment.Experience working with children who require developmental support.Be interested in working within RCH tertiary multidisciplinary clinics (alongside engaged medical teams) to ensure children with rare conditions access the supports they need within the community.Have confidence in educating patients, parents, discipline staff, multidisciplinary team members, and the wider community to minimize risk and promote successful outcomes for patient care.Be committed to evidence-based practice and integration into everyday clinical care.If this sounds like you, click here to view the position description.About the Department:The Occupational Therapy department is within the Division of Ambulatory Services.
We provide inpatient and outpatient services for infants, children, and adolescents with a wide range of medical conditions.
