As a Workshop/Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you'll be trusted with the responsibility of the effective diagnosis and repair of StarTrack heavy fleet vehicles and trailers to ensure team members in our facility and out on the road can deliver like never before.
This position is based at StarTrack Tullamarine.
You'll be Diagnosing issues and repairing heavy fleet vehicles and trailers Trailer service and repairs under NHVR regulations Maintaining a high standard of record keeping Servicing FUSO and Mercedes Trucks Shift details Permanent, full time Monday to Friday 2.30pm to 10.30pm $45.06ph ($38.35ph base rate + 17.5% PM shift allowance = $45.06ph) Overtime (pre or post shift, as required) $17.50 per week tool allowance (basic tools) 2% Superannuation Leave entitlements About you You are a qualified Mechanic You are an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident You are flexible with working additional hours if required You have previous experience in a similar role Certificate III in Heavy Road Transport advantageous Heavy rigid license advantageous Forklift license is advantageous How we'll deliver for you Rewarding pay including shift and tool allowances plus overtime All heavy tools provided Free onsite car parking Uniform, PPE and overalls provided Team member discounts, ongoing technical training including externally recognised qualifications We invest in you for the long-term, encouraging growth through delivering on our values of Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment and Safety We're delivering together At Australia Post, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate, live and gather as employees.
