About UsHitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a motivated, trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to bring their skills to our workshop team.
Based in the Dandenong branch, this role will see you prepare new Hitachi and Bell products to customer specifications, and provide quality diagnostics and maintenance services.You will be responsible for:Diagnostic, repairs and maintenance of new and used equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and/or specified times targeting improved job efficiency.Preparation and testing pre-delivery inspections of new equipmentEnsuring all work carried out is performed in a safe mannerCompletion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reportsMaintain a clean and safe working environmentAs the ideal candidate, you will have:Minimum Certificate III in a Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline (Diesel Mechanic).Have previous experience with the overhaul, repair and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on earthmoving equipment and/or truck diagnosticsHeavy Rigid and Forklift licence would be highly regardedA commitment to safety and strong understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principlesGood communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEMAble to work within a team environmentBenefits - What's in it for you?Competitive hourly rate + potential overtime + earn company bi-annual bonusesPermanent Full Time Position in a leading OEM with long term job securityExclusive staff discount on a range of goods and services through our Employee Rewards ProgramOEM training and opportunities for upskilling with access to the latest technologiesSupportive mentors who value your input in finding new and improved ways to achieving successCareer progression opportunities Employee Referral Program – refer a friend and receive $$Here at Hitachi, we believe that success comes from the partnership of our market-leading products and the quality of our people.
