We manufacture and distribute a market-leading range of soil, compost, and mulch products.
To ensure we continue to maintain our comprehensive fleet, mobile, and plant equipment, we are seeking a Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic for permanent full-time roles based at our Workshop in South Nowra.
This position will enable exposure to a diverse array of heavy vehicles, plant, and equipment including semi-trailer trucks, front end loaders, excavators, screens, and shredders.
Reporting to the Maintenance & Planning Coordinator, our heavy vehicle mechanics are responsible for quality service, maintenance, and repairs on our modern fleet of trucks, trailers, fixed plant, and earthmoving equipment.
Duties will include performing preventative maintenance, servicing, and responding to breakdowns when required.

Our ideal candidate will meet the below requirements: Relevant Heavy Vehicle licence or qualificationsCompetent in diagnosing faults and undertaking repairsAdvanced knowledge of diesel engine componentsUnderstanding of completing Job Cards and schedule of worksExperience with fixed plant maintenance and shutdownsExhibit a commitment to WHS policies, procedures, and regulationsCapability to work collaboratively with other departmentsAbility to troubleshoot complex repairs and respond promptlyCan work unsupervised and be self-motivatedCapable of training apprentices and mentoring other mechanicsAbility to complete paperwork associated with fleet maintenance and repairsCommitment to maintain workshop area and tools and replenish stockDemonstrate a commitment to Quality & WHSEssential: Valid driver's licence and the ability to drive manual vehiclesDesirable: HC Licence, Forklift and / or EWPFlexible Shifts - Morning shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and afternoon shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
Tool allowance, meal allowance, and overtime paid as applicable.

Remuneration will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
