Disability Care Worker

We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Disability Carers to join our team.
As a Disability Carer, you will provide personalized support to individuals with disabilities, assisting them in daily tasks and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to individuals with physical, sensory, intellectual, or developmental disabilities in accordance with their care plans.
Assist with daily living activities including personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming), mobility, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
Administer medication and ensure it is taken according to prescribed instructions (training provided).
Support individuals with social and recreational activities, encouraging independence and community participation.
Monitor and record the individual's health and well-being, reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Assist with transportation to and from appointments or social activities.
Foster a supportive, respectful, and safe environment, promoting dignity and independence.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents or changes in the individual's condition.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience in caregiving or support roles is preferred, but not required (training can be provided).
Empathy and compassion for individuals with disabilities.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and communicate effectively.
Patience, reliability, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for some roles.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or overnight, depending on client needs.
A current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Background check clearance.
NDIS workers screening check.
Preferred Qualifications:
A relevant qualification in health, disability support, or social care (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Disability, or equivalent).
Experience with specialized equipment or personal care techniques is an advantage.
