This includes supporting the upkeep of all manufacturing assets and assisting in the design and installation of new systems.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms maintenance management including establishing own priorities in maintenance schedulesMaintains manufacturing assets and facility, parts inventory, monitoring purchase ordersSupport the provision of training and continuous development on all maintenance personnelDrives the maintenance and reliability initiative focused on preventive and predictive maintenance, not reactivePerforms other duties by coordinating work with outside inspections, providing project management, ensuring safety of personnel, and performing other duties as requiredManaging, maintaining, and establishing maintenance procedures for production lines in a food manufacturing environment to ensure production meets or performs better than budgetDeveloping and maintaining quality standardsDeveloping and maintaining associate safety standardsParticipate in designing and developing future production capacities by attending design meetings; coordinating with the Research & Development Department regarding product changes and improvements; and updating maintenance operating procedures and schedules to incorporate the changesResponsible for maintaining Food Safety and Quality Systems as assignedEnsuring technical integrity of the mechanical and process component of continuous improvement and capital engineering project work, providing engineering support to all levels within the siteProvide engineering solutions to production, quality, and engineering departmentsSupport project needs and expectations and deliver to budget and scheduleProviding technical support on the commissioning and decommissioning of new and current production linesAssist with developing detailed process schemes, layout and specification of plant for pricing, tendering, and construction purposesIdentify cost-saving opportunities through process improvements, waste reduction, and equipment optimisationParticipate in and undertake day-to-day activities of the maintenance departmentSetup and monitor production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently including fillers, packers, and labellersRespond to break downs and emergenciesPreventative maintenance and servicing of all production equipmentUndertake regular and programmed maintenance of plant machinery, buildings, and services to ensure that it is maintained in good and safe conditionEnsure production processes are conducted in a safe and responsible manner that conforms to statutory requirements/regulations and is consistent with company policies and proceduresMust be able to work a flexible scheduleFulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.The above list is not exhaustive and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the company.KEY REQUIREMENTSQualifications: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or trade qualification in related fieldCurrently hold a valid electrical licence – Preferred.5 years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment with Can seamer Machine experienceExperience within the dairy powder industry maintaining seamers and fillers; or demonstrated previous experience in a food and beverage manufacturing environment within a canning and packaging operationExperience with vacuum and mechanical transfer systemsExperience working on high-speed production and packaging equipmentExperience in fabrication welding – Preferred.Skills / KnowledgeDetail-oriented and organisedExcellent technical knowledge of equipment, products, and processesSelf-motivated, results orientated and excellent personal skillsStrong knowledge in Maintenance and ReliabilityStrong knowledge/experience managing maintenance through CMMSStrong background in safety; HACCP; GMPSound knowledge of PLC-based equipmentMust have a hands-on work ethic.What We Are Offering482 employer visa sponsorship (2-4 years) permanent opportunity for the right candidatesAttractive salary packages with permanent salaryWith an opportunity to apply for Permanent Residence when you're eligible3-6 months processing time.Accelerate your migration journey to AustraliaHow to Apply:Applications are via the apply now button only.
