Retinue Accounting is looking for a proactive and skilled Tax Supervisor to join our dynamic team.
Reporting to our Head of Tax & Accounting, you'll be leading and growing a team of tax accountants, managing tax-related services for clients, and ensuring all deliverables meet our high standards and compliance requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and mentor a team of tax accountants, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.Assist with clients' tax compliance, including resolving any discrepancies.Conduct Final Review on work provided by Offshore Accountants (Individual Tax Returns) and First Review for Onshore Accountants (Entity Tax Returns) prior to final review by Head of Tax & Accounting.Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, conduct research on tax-related issues, and provide tax updates to other departments and staff.Perform Quality Assurance checks on tax tasks to ensure high quality is met and provide coaching on areas of improvement.Achieve team and department KPIs.Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with staff and clients.Conduct productivity meetings to review and discuss work plans with team members.RequirementsCPA / CA certificationMinimum of 5+ years of Australian Public Practice experience in tax accounting at a senior levelStrong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirementsProven experience in developing and leading a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise mannerProficiency in Xero (including Xero Tax), MYOB and Microsoft Office SuiteLead, mentor, and make a direct impact on your team's development while being supported by an open, collaborative leadership style.Be part of a team where your contributions are valued, with a focus on support, teamwork, and celebrating achievements.Enjoy recognition programs that celebrate hard work, dedication, and standout contributions to our company and clients.Advance your career with opportunities for professional growth, continuous learning, and mentorship from experienced leaders.Our CommitmentAt Retinue, we believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are crucial to our success.
