The Organisation
For more than 30 years Healthway has been providing grant funding to sport, arts and community activities, and to health promotion projects and research.
Healthway's vision is for a 'healthy and more active Western Australia', and it is the only State Government agency dedicated to health promotion.
Lotterywest is the employing agency for Healthway and is the only state government owned and operated lottery in Australia, where all the available profit is returned to Western Australians through community and statutory grants.
Lotterywest has supported the Western Australian community for over 90 years.

Key focus areas of the position
This position provides authoritative advice and contributes to the development of strategic public health policy across Healthway's priority health areas, including promoting healthy eating and active living, and preventing and reducing the use of alcohol, tobacco and e-cigarettes.
This role supports and contributes to the policy and strategy capacity of Healthway by:
Design, implementation, and evaluation of public health policies informed by research and critical analysis of public health evidence.
Translating research into strategic, evidence-based policy advice to senior staff and Executive.
Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with stakeholders to progress policy priorities in alignment with Healthway's Strategic Plan.
Developing policy submissions, advocacy papers, position statements, briefing documents, and other correspondence to a high standard.
