Our strategic objectives are:Creating safer correctional environmentsEnsuring humane management of prisoners and offendersFostering partnerships and community collaborationReducing crimeLOCATIONS (Both in Wacol, Qld):Brisbane Correctional Centre is the primary reception centre for newly sentenced male prisoners in south-east Queensland including a Maximum Security Unit.
A variety of dynamic offender management regimens are utilised in managing the diverse offender population.
At BCC Psychologists have the opportunity to develop assessment and intervention skills and provide advice and management strategies for acute cases.
You will be supervised by Senior Psychologists who are STAP-accredited - providing provisionally registered psychologists with the opportunity for on-site secondary supervision.
Furthermore, the centre will provide financial support towards external supervision.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of dedicated professionals that provides support and guidance where necessary.Wolston Correctional Centre accommodates male prisoners classified as protection.
The centre is a placement facility with a population of largely sentenced prisoners and supports progression towards rehabilitative outcomes including programs, education, and employment.
Psychologists will have the opportunity to conduct assessment, intervention, and case management with more predictable timeframes regarding release.
