Category Specialist - Liquor Tobacco Confectionery For our Support Office located at Sydney International Airport, we are looking for a Category Specialist for our Liquor Tobacco Confectionery department.
The primary responsibility of the Category Specialist in Liquor, Tobacco, Confectionery (LTC) is maximising customer engagement through in-stock management, promotions, and product range.
The Category Specialist contributes to category performance against financial and KPI targets, collaborating with both the Operations and Purchasing teams in line with the broader commercial strategy.
They act as the ambassador of the category, holding authority over how the range is represented and executed on the shop floor.
Your new job includes: Weekly/Monthly Analytical reporting Complete weekly shop visits to observe and discuss stock position, customer demographics, range, and promotional opportunities Assist with providing regular and timely category updates to internal and external stakeholders Ensure consistent high standards of customer service by maximizing the customer experience and ensuring the range is store-appropriate Review and analyze initiatives to maintain a high level of customer service by regularly reviewing customer feedback, trends, and results Organize staff incentives, brand and Visual Merchandising training, and aid the Operations team in executing the brands in store Build and maintain relationships with vendors and coordinate vendor store visits as needed What you should bring along: Previous experience in category coordination, strategic planning, forecasting, and financial analysis Experience or interest in Liquor, Tobacco & Confectionery is a plus Experience in managing and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, to build strong relationships Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment Extensive product knowledge, analytical skills, and ability to identify market trends Advanced MS Excel, and SAP/R3 (Retail) or similar ERP system What you can be excited about: Active feedback culture Attractive employee discounts Mobile working options Subsidized parking
