Deputy Sector and Regulatory Strategy Care Quality and Safety CommissionAged Care Quality and Safety Commission – Melbourne VICFull timeThe Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC) is the national regulator of Commonwealth subsidised aged care services. The ACQSC's primary role is to provide end-to-end regulation of aged care providers for the purposes of protecting and enhancing the safety, health, wellbeing and quality of life of older people accessing aged care. The ACQSC aims to ensure that older people and their families can trust and have confidence in the quality and safety of aged care.The RoleReporting to the Commissioner, the Deputy Commissioner, Sector Capability and Regulatory Strategy leads the Division responsible for delivering enabling services to support the Commission's regulatory functions including regulatory and operational policy, research, risk modelling, design of sector risk treatments, data, analytics, intelligence and communications. The Division also supports sector capability uplift through engagement, education, publication of performance insights, and coordination of regulatory campaigns. The Division contributes to the ACQSC's accountability by undertaking reviews and reconsiderations of reviewable decisions. The Deputy Commissioner also leads the Reform for Better Aged Care Program, a significant whole of organisation change program to prepare the ACQSC and older people, aged care providers and workers for the implementation of the new Aged Care Act. The role engages across the organisation to both deliver services and draw on expertise and shared resources, fostering collaboration and information sharing to achieve critical results.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have the ability to provide impartial, strategic advice and support to the Commissioner, based on your thorough understanding of the aged care sector and how to influence and enable change and create improved performance at the level of individual approved providers, cohorts of providers, and across the whole aged care sector. You will be a key decision maker on matters that affect organisational performance, particularly in the areas of regulatory strategy, application of data, analytics and intelligence to whole of Commission regulatory functions, and sector capability uplift through education, engagement, communication and regulatory campaigns. You will proactively develop productive working relationships across the sector and within Government, anticipating the needs of stakeholders and resolving divergent views and conflicting priorities while helping to drive significant change across the aged care sector. As a senior member of the ACQSC's Executive team, you will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to provide strong leadership and to shape the future direction and priorities of the organisation.Before applying, please obtain selection documentation from ****** quoting in the subject field Ref.
