About the Role The After-Hours Service is designed to deliver services to build safety where risk is present, provide help and support to resolve issues and/or prevent escalation, and be responsive to the needs of our children and young people in care, outside of standard business hours.
Providing information, advice, and support to all incoming, emergent, and critical after-hours service enquiries in a child-centred, trauma-informed manner.
Conditions of Employment Salary: $74,441 to $107,878 pro rata per annum + 11.5% Superannuation Classification: Allied Health Professional Level 1-2 Award/Agreement: Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement Location: South (Hobart), North (Launceston), and North-West (Ulverstone) Hours of Work: This is a shift-based role and includes a combination of day, afternoon, and night work, including availability for call-out as rostered.
If successful, you must be available to complete approximately 3 months of full-time (Mon-Fri 8:30am - 5pm) paid training.

Our After-Hours staff will receive dedicated induction and training to provide the knowledge, skills, and capabilities to undertake their role effectively.

A tertiary qualification approved by the relevant National Board, for example a Bachelor of Social Work, and eligibility for membership with the relevant National Board or professional association; or An alternative tertiary qualification (AQF Level 7 Qualification) in a discipline considered relevant to the duties, for example Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Psychology, Bachelor of Youth Work, Bachelor of Psychological Science; or An associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (AQF Level 5 or 6 Qualification) in a discipline considered relevant to the duties, for example a Diploma in Community Services.
Current Driver's Licence.
The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered.
This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
