This is a full-time role to support Certis with Cargo Screening Operations across several sites.
The position requires the officer to perform Cargo Screening on freight by following the relevant SOPs and using the screening equipment provided.
Key Responsibilities Operation of Cargo Screening Equipment including X-ray and ETDRecording screening information accuratelyShifts will be varied across a 7-day rosterShifts ranging from 4 to 12 hoursScreening of CargoCorrect use of screening equipmentConfiguration of screening equipmentUnderstanding of SOPs and EACE noticeWorking in a small teamQualifications Mandatory qualifications may include:
Security LicensePrevious Cargo or passenger screening experienceDesirable qualifications and experiences may include:
Experience with X-ray and screening equipmentAbility to work unsupervisedWhat you will be doing: X-Ray Monitoring and ScreeningPhysical Searches and InspectionsExplosive Trace Detection (ETD) ExaminationsTraining staffCompleting admin duties related to the role of Cargo Examination OfficerReporting and escalation of security and safety events and incidentsSecurity Award Level 2 Rates + Aviation Allowance payable on each hour. FREE Certificate II in Transport Security and Protection (TSP)FREE Staff Parking on site and Uniform will be provided.FREE Ongoing Learning and Development through our Learning Management System (LMS)Minimum of 40 hours on-the-job trainingAll the above is contingent on the candidate meeting the requirements of each level of competency and training, as required by law.
