With significant growth across our Queensland business, we are looking for a senior Head of Commercial to lead the Business Unit, reporting into the BU GM and ensuring our ongoing success.

As a member of the Queensland Senior Leadership Team, you will have full accountability of the QLD Commercial function; providing commercial support in all aspects of the region's construction operations.

About You:
We are looking for an experienced commercial manager who has led the commercial function for a multi-million-dollar business, including financial strategic planning, head contracts negotiation, leading tender strategy and risk mitigation, mentoring commercial cohort across the business, and coordinating with internal business executives.

The role may involve preparing and presenting papers on complex issues to Executive Management, so you will have superior communication and analytical skills and be comfortable and confident in delivering complex and technical information in a clear, concise and consistent way to stakeholders at all levels.

To succeed in this role, it is essential you have extensive commercial experience, with appropriate tertiary qualifications and preferably experience working in this function with an equivalent tier-two contractor.
We are looking for experienced leaders who have demonstrated success in leading and expanding commercial capability across a business.

You will have a proven track record and a strong industry network of connections across the QLD market preferred; however, interstate applicants are encouraged to apply.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
Extensive construction industry knowledge and networks gained from an established career in the sector.
An ability to combine creativity with practicality to deliver winning customer solutions.
Exemplary presentation skills: with clear and articulate communications, coupled with an ability to manage stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Superior innovation and technical capability.
Tertiary qualifications in construction management, law, QS, or a building-related area.
