Director of Nursing - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for a Director of Nursing - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (527492) vacancy.
Please note this position is also being advertised as an Allied Health Director - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (527492d) and only one position will be filled on merit.
Our Aim :
CYMHS Tasmania are seeking a Regional Director with extensive knowledge, expertise and experience of child and youth mental health service delivery and management.
This position will be based in Hobart and is a Southern Tasmania-based role.
The Tasmanian Government is committed to action through the Tasmanian Mental Health Service Reforms with a whole raft of new initiatives in motion to change the shape and improve mental health service delivery.
You too can be part of this exciting work and help build new services and capacity in Tasmania to treat children and young people with severe and complex mental illness.
This position provides operational and professional leadership across existing CAMHS programs and new programs that are being implemented.

The role will include :
Provide clinical leadership and direction in the development, management and evaluation of all facets of the overall service, including strategic direction to continually enhance the provision of safe and quality services which meet the needs of all key stakeholders.
Facilitate the development and maintenance of active partnerships with a range of key internal and external stakeholders to optimise overall sector integration and client outcomes within CAMHS.
Provide operational and clinical support to all managers and senior clinical staff across the Southern region, and hold a statewide portfolio based on clinical background.
Details of Appointment : Registered Nurse, Grade 8
Permanent, full-time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time and part-time vacancies.
Salary : $137,387 - $159,884 per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You'll have access to salary packaging and a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria :
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess a specialist tertiary graduate or postgraduate mental health / psychiatric nursing qualification; or completed, prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, an accredited hospital-based program that leads to registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse regulatory authority within Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United Kingdom.
