The Opportunity Our client is a community focused Federal Government Agency.
They have an exciting opportunity available for multiple APS6 & EL1 Policy Officer's to assist the Partners, Providers & Home Living Group in ensuring the direction of strategic policy reform for supports and services offered under the NDIS.
12-month initial contracts with the view for extension, offering an APS6 rate of $60.26 + Super, or an EL1 day rate of $602.55 + Super, to be based out of clients Richmond office.
EL1 roles will be Team Leads, with APS6's acting a senior policy advisors, both roles will have 2 days working from home.
As an APS6 you will be: Leading research and analysis to develop policy.
Preparing and coordinating policy advice.
Drafting policy, strategy, project, and corporate documents.
Managing policy projects.
Identifying and addressing reform and project risks.
Initiating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
Participating in co-design, workshops, and forums.
As an EL1 you will be: Leading a team to develop contemporary and informed policy and strategies.
Building relationships and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Leading development of policy and corporate documents to a high standard.
Designing and delivering engagement activities.
Using data and technical inputs to form recommendations.
Leading reform projects in line with the NDIA's wider reform program.
Managing and providing policy leadership to a team.
Contributing to building a positive and high performing team culture.
Key skills required: Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills Superior communication and stakeholder management skills Collaborative approach, working well in teams and with limited direction Experience developing and interpreting policy, analysing data and information, preparing and reviewing policy papers, reports, presentations, briefings and correspondence.
Candidates with an understanding and experience relating to the disability sector and market will be considered favourably.
