We have an opportunity to join us on a 6 Month MTC as a Tester, supporting critical UAT Testing on best-in-class technology systems.
Role Purpose
This role is ideal for someone ready to roll up their sleeves and take ownership of testing processes to ensure seamless delivery across multiple applications, processes, and systems.
You'll run and execute UAT during a critical phase in early 2024, testing complex scenarios with precision.
You'll focus on functional and data migration testing, leveraging your expertise in manual and automation testing to deliver quality outcomes as well as develop and execute test cases for new portals, registry systems , and surrounding platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Development and Execution
Write detailed test cases based on business requirements and workflows.
Execute manual and automated testing, ensuring sufficient coverage across systems and features.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with distribution, finance, data warehouse, and engineering teams.
Translate requirements into test scenarios and provide actionable insights.
Data Migration Testing
Reconcile data across systems, validate mappings, and ensure accuracy during migrations.
Conduct SQL queries to troubleshoot errors and analyse results.
Functional Testing
Test and validate data alignment across processes, focusing on mapping accuracy and functionality.
UAT Ownership
Prepare for and execute UAT, testing thousands of scenarios with attention to detail.
Ensure timely delivery of all testing deliverables.
Preferred Skills & Technical Expertise
Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g.
JavaScript) and SQL Knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
Knowledge and experience with testing tools such as: Jira, Xray for test case and defect management Jmeter for performance testing Burpsuit for security testing Postman for API automation Browser stack for device testing Resilience testing Litmus
Collaboration & Analysis
Proven ability to work with Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and stakeholders.
Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work to challenging deadlines
Industry Knowledge
Experience in financial markets or similar domains is advantageous.
Qualifications:
3-5+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance roles.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field ISTQB certification or equivalent industry accreditation is a plus.
