About the team
Technology plays a critical role in the delivery of AGL's strategy, helping our customers decarbonise the way they live, move and work and transitioning our generation portfolio.
The Data Analytics and Reporting Solutions team (DARS) provide a range of solutions to Customer Markets and the broader AGL business.
We are leading the shift towards operational efficiency underpinned by data led decision-making through the delivery of real insights and reporting.
We provide best in class reporting automation and digitisation using the latest Microsoft technology stack.

About the role
We have a new opportunity for a Senior Power BI Engineer to join the DARS team.
In this role, you will provide expertise in the power platform (Power BI and Power Automate), data modelling, reports and end-to-end validation and testing of reporting solutions.
You will work closely with a technical delivery team to execute on our roadmap and build a range of solutions to our Customer Markets business area.

What you'll be doing
Lead Power BI development to build insightful dashboards and reports.
Execute on the DARS roadmap including supporting build of new solutions and transforming current BAU reporting processes to a digital and sustainable platform.
Thought leadership in conceptualisation, development, deployment and continual improvement of AGL's in house reporting capability.
Documentation of logic and methodology used in current and future reporting solutions.
Design methodology and project documentation for various projects.
Provide insights incorporating AI and ML to the dashboards and reporting.
What You'll Bring:
Strong technical skills in Power BI, including data modelling, report building, DAX queries, and security layer models.
Proficiency in DAX, SQL, and Power Query.
Experience with the Microsoft technology stack (Power BI, Azure SQL, etc.).
Ability to develop data models (e.g., star schema, tabular models) aligned with warehouse standards.
Knowledge of integrating AI and ML into reporting solutions.
A proactive mindset, always looking for ways to improve and adapt to new technologies.
Experience translating complex business data into informative visuals and reports.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with offshore teams and stakeholders.
