The Senior Property Officer supports the department's acquisition program through property expertise to identify, investigate, recommend and oversee the acquisition of land for capital delivery.
The Senior Property Officer liaises with a range of key internal and external stakeholders to provide timely property advice and contributes to the ongoing delivery of social housing.
What you will be doing: Contribute to the sourcing and acquisition of land for social housing capital delivery requirements including acquisition of land for redevelopment.Conduct property market research and analysis to inform decision making and the provision of advice to stakeholders and management in relation to efficient acquisition of land for the housing portfolio.Use property expertise, social housing business knowledge and the support of corporate systems to inform and advise senior management about property acquisition opportunities.Contribute to timely and accurate reporting on the progress against acquisition targets that is fit for purpose, agile and responsive.Prepare correspondence, briefings, reports, information papers and submissions, and other relevant documentation as required.Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied.What we are looking for:

The skills you will need include being able to: Describe the vision for the work area and how their work contributes to organisational objectives.Decide on a course of action to achieve objectives without needing step by step instructions.Seek clarity of tasks, ask questions to understand what is expected and set priorities to meet deadlines.Communicate in a clear and concise manner both written and verbal and build networks with peers and work collaboratively with others.Rigorously research and analyse information relevant to tasks and show judgement in decision making.Evidence specialist knowledge, skills and experience in valuation practice and strategic asset management.Mandatory Requirement:
Current Drivers licence.
Although not mandatory, a property related degree would be highly regarded.
