Senior Venue Officer (Collingwood Town Hall)
Temporary - Full Time (38 hours a week) from 23 September – 20 December 2024
Band 4 - $70,961.51 to $76,364.21 (pro rata) + Super
As a Senior Venue Officer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional front-line customer service, managing the day-to-day operations of the Town Hall. Your role will involve liaising with contractors, overseeing the setup and pack down of rooms and equipment, and ensuring all health, safety, and emergency protocols are adhered to.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in venue management, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service. You will need to demonstrate your ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders, manage venue operations efficiently, and ensure a seamless experience for all users of the Town Hall.
This role reports directly to the Operations Team Leader, Venues and Events, and is an integral part of the Community Wellbeing division. Responsibilities include:
Providing exceptional front-line customer service to customers, contractors and Council staff in accordance with Council's Customer service quality standards.
Overseeing the day to day operations of a municipal Town Hall.
Taking a lead role in managing other Venues Officers, which may include induction, training and supervision.
Liaising with cleaners regarding function cleaning and setup of furniture.
Managing Council's meeting rooms and function spaces for meetings, events and functions.
Ensuring OH&S and emergency evacuation process is adhered to by all users of the facilities.
Auditing and maintaining all stock and supplies for the operation of the Town Hall.
The set up and pack down of rooms/equipment as required.
