APEX Transport and Distribution is a privately family-owned transport and logistics business that has been established for more than a decade.
Head office in Laverton North (VIC), depots in Gillman (SA) and Welshpool (WA), with a 2025 opening in Sydney NSW.
The role:Key leadership role for a capable and established people leader.100% Ownership SA Operation.Responsible for state-based financial performance.Reporting to the General Manager.About you:10+ years of Transport sector experience with People Management.Proven track record in Customer Satisfaction.Leadership style setting an example through your energy and commitment.You possess the ability to drive culture where every team member takes ownership.Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Operational management:Ensure smooth day-to-day depot operations, including fleet allocation, staff management, PUD schedules, and warehouse activities.
Lead, upskill, and grow a team at all levels, fostering a safe, positive, and productive work environment.
Health and Safety:Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring a safe workplace for all employees.
Evaluate & maximise cost-effective options and methods of operation across all areas - Manage all spending.
Customer Service:Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering efficient and timely services and addressing client queries promptly.
Performance Monitoring:Track KPIs, prepare operational reports, and implement improvement strategies to achieve business objectives.
Compliance/CoR:Ensure all operations comply with company policies and legal requirements, including transport and logistics regulations.
Change Management:Champion transformation through visible leadership and accountability.
