Position SummaryJoin a dynamic team as a Site Health & Safety Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our workforce. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated HSEQ team, including a Superintendent, Senior Advisors, and Environmental and Quality specialists, in a major mining execution project.
Your extensive experience in Health & Safety Management, particularly within the mining sector, will be crucial as you oversee safety protocols, conduct site safety audits, and manage risk assessments during the early works construction phase.

About the Role
Lead and manage the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) team on site, including HSE Superintendent, Senior HS Advisors, HS Advisor, Senior Enviro's, Enviro, and Quality Advisor.
Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
Conduct regular site safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with project management and construction teams to integrate safety practices into all phases of the project.
Provide leadership and guidance in risk assessment and management to ensure a safe working environment.
Facilitate safety training and awareness programs for all site personnel to promote a culture of safety.
Ensure effective communication and reporting of safety performance and incidents to senior management and stakeholders.
Support the operational ramp-up and handover phases by ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to.
About the Candidate
Minimum of 10 years experience in Senior Positions within Health & Safety Management.
Extensive site experience and has led/managed a major mining execution project, working for an EPCM.
Formal qualifications in WHS Management, such as a Diploma or Degree.
Training and/or audit qualifications are beneficial.
Experience in mining projects and Senior Health & Safety Management.
Proficiency in EPCM project management and HSEQ team supervision.
Expertise in site safety audits and construction phase safety.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficient in risk assessment and time management.
